VM Miracoli

Under a river where no water flows but only cynicism and apathy, my sin hides.

The typeface VM Miracoli features stretched and grotesque forms, with stems resembling bars, evoking a sense of imprisonment. Inspired by classic Venetian fonts, it is condensed and stretched to its limits to accentuate its forms.

The project was created in a very short time frame, as a self-imposed challenge for fun and to test ourselves. Inspired by a visit to the Monumental Cemetery of Milan, we decided to give ourselves three days to complete the project: designing the typeface, conducting research and layout, printing, and shooting the specimen, all within the span of a weekend.
